The Snowsurfers
Snowboarding has grown at an exponential rate over the past ten years; it's recognition as an olympic sport lays weight to this.

Snowboarding is not simply about standing sideways on a big ski. Ohhhhh, noooooo. Snowboarding is an attitude. Snowboarding is cool. Snowboarding is about no stress, having a laugh and pissing about. If you are a bad boarder but have the vibe, then no one cares about what you can and can't do. At least you are chilled out and having a go.

Training for Snowboarding
When you are not actually on the slopes, or it is one of the other 51 weeks a year that the normal person is not on holiday, training for your sport will always make it easier.
Snowboarding takes advantage of the legs and abdominals. It almost takes the piss out of your abdominals. Out of season, prepare these things for the shock to come. Running, to improve muscles in your legs, and boost your cardiovascular fitness is a good start.
Crunchies, or any other of the plethora of abdominal exercises will get these going, but remember to work the back muscles also. General flexibility will reduce the chance of sprains and make everything slightly less painful.

What to wear
So what if you can't do it. When your sitting on your ass chilling with a barrel of schnapps and fat flesh cigar, nobody knows whether you can pull a 720 or not. Kick back, relax, and check out the buyers guide to ensure you look the dogs twitcher this year.
